Public Hospital Leaders Committed to Improving Performance, Delivering Better Value and Transforming the Patient Experience

Public health sector professionals from all management levels are set to attend the 7th annual Operational Hospital Management Conference taking place from 4 to 6 August 2010 at the Indaba Hotel in Fourways, Johannesburg. The conference is a key information platform which will provide hospital management with the latest tools and practical solutions to ensure the effective running of their hospital.

Organiser, Simon Robinson from 365 Projects says, “Given the much needed emphasis on acting now to improve healthcare service delivery, especially at hospitals throughout South Africa, this year’s conference will explore the fundamental aspects of operations management and facilitate a knowledge sharing platform for conference participants to create a solution / remedy network for future best practice sharing.”

The conference promises an informative 3 days with valuable networking opportunities for delegates, exhibitors and speakers alike. Day one will comprise of the main plenary where the theme “How to Manage a Hospital” will take centre stage. Keynote presentations will offer motivational and inspiring perspectives on issues challenging healthcare management professionals. The conference will continue on day 2 with round table focus groups lifting critical challenges in areas such as Human Capital Management, Finance Management, Facilities and Infrastructure Management, Supply Chain Management, Service Management and Performance Management. Day 3 of the conference will wrap up with a tour of Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.
